Two Norton Icons in System Tray AGAIN!!!!!!

I have been having this problem since 2016 and I have contacted Norton several times to try to get it resolved! I am sick and tired of it and I will be abandoning Norton if they do not fix this NOW!

There continue to be two Norton Security icons in my system tray; I have tried every solution given to me and all have failed. Am running Windows 10.

FIX THIS NOW OR YOU WILL LOSE A LONGTIME PAYING CUSTOMER!

One thing to check is in Windows Settings - Apps/Programs. Look for a separate entry for Norton Security Scan. If you find that, uninstall that and see if you still see 2 icons.  This Norton Security Scan feature can be added if you do not pay attention when uninstalling Norton for any reason. There is an option you need to uncheck to avoid getting this extra feature.

Tried that years ago. Symantec needs to just fix the issue.

Otaku155. Have you tried 'Customise' from the Show Hidden Icons (small upward facing icon in the system tray) ? Should be an entry for Norton, make sure selection is Show Icon & Notifications. If there is a second entry for Norton, click Hide Icon & Notifications. If not, try one of the three available settings one at a time & see if clears itself. 'Show Icon & Notifications' places the icon permanently showing in the system tray.

Did you find the Norton Security Scan in the Windows Settings? If so, it is not an issue with the actual Norton product. You just have two Norton products running at the same time.

If this is not what you are seeing, I'll just back away.

Re: Two Norton Icons in System Tray AGAIN!!!!!!

I too have had this a number of times, resolved by using the "uninstall & reinstall" Norton tool.

Just done it & now back to how it should be.

Shame on Norton for still having this bug!
