uiStub incompatible

I have Windows 7 and Norton 360 installed. After an infection with SpyHunter and other viruses (which Malawarwbytes took care off) I can not turn on Norton, uninstall it, use compatiblity action in "troubleshooting"  or applying Microsoft "fix it " actions. The recurring message is " unspecified error C;\Program files (x86)\Norton Internet Security\Engine 64\21.7.011\uistub.exe ". I have also restored the computer to a previous date when supposedly Norton was on and working.

Can please anyone help. I wish I knew more to be more technical but I am stuck and tired of not finding a solution that common sense dictates. Thanks

Re: uiStub incompatible

Hi el cacho48,

Usually a System Restore will break a Norton installation, so first thing I would suggest is to run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool.  Be sure to follow the instructions, especially the Before you begin.  Any questions, come back and get answers before running the tool.  Thus tool will remove your current N 360 installation, restart your system and then reinstall and activate a fresh cop0y of N 360.  Please run LiveUpdate (rebooting if requested) as many times as it takes to have the specific response of "no updates found".
