unable to prevent the unwanted javascript pop ups

is there any way that Norton can prevent unwanted javascript pop up while clicking any spam page or accessing the malicious website.

I have seen that if I am mistakenly clicking any unwanted ads it will take me to a malicious website and then javascript messages will pop that you have won this of that. If I want to close them they will keep generating or sometimes make your browser full screen and stop you from closing them, until and unless you are killing all the pages using Task Manager.

Is there something Norton can do to prevent this?

Hello rajarshp

Please stop by one of these free malware removal sites. They will check your computer to make sure it is clean. They will work with you 1 on 1 and you can ask them any questions you may have.

Please see this link for an up to date description of these sites plus the addition of a newly listed site formed by one of our successful malware remover users who unfortunately has passed away. That site is still being run by a good expert who happens to be one of the other Gurus.  The new site is listed first in this link.

Assuming you are talking about scripts that run when you visit a website, and not something on your computer that is opening web pages on its own, the best option is to control JavaScript in your browser.  See the following for a discussion:

That is a browsers job and not an antivirus job. Use Google Chrome with uBlock origin extension.
