Unable to restore file deleted by Norton
I have recently scanned my computer and Norton Internet Security 2013 deleted one of my files due to WS.Reputation.1. I have read and understand how Norton detects these files. However, the file is not quarantined and thus cannot be restored, with regards to forum thread at http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Clarification-on-WS-Reputation-1-detection/td-p/232155.. It is automatically removed by Norton and can only be viewed under "History". Is there a way to recover the files? The file is 2GiB is size and would take a long time to re-download it. Is there a way to restore the file, if it is not in the "Quarantine" section? Otherwise, I would have to leave SONAR protection and Download File Network Insight off to prevent future undoable removals, which makes the anti-virus quite useless.
I understand you can stop Norton from scanning a specific file or program so that it would not be removed for WS.Reputation.1, but what I want to do is to recover the file.
Edit - Moreover, Norton does NOT provide an option to keep the file. I have already re-downloaded the program once and it has been deleted twice. That's already 4GiB in total. And a long amount of time not taken into consideration.
