Unable to turn on remote management in Norton 360

When I attempt to turn on remote management I receive the following message " unable to retrieve Norton account"

 

I had to reinstall Norton 360 a few days ago and since then I have had this issue, Also had to reinstall Norton Studio. When I went to reinstall Norton Studio Windows made me switch from local account to a Microsoft one. Not sure if that is relevant  to my problem I am having but its the only change I have made since this happened

 

I am signed into my Norton 360 account when I try to make the change to turn on remote management (also tried being logged out and still receive the same message). I also have plenty of days left on my Norton subscription and the device shows up under Norton Management when I log into my account

 

I currently have Norton 360 on 3 PCs and this is the only one encountering this problem. Any help in solving this issue would be appreciated 

 

Also im running Windows 8.1

Try switching back to the non Microsoft account login for Windows.  The different account types apparently behave differently.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I switched back to the non-Microsoft local account and still get the same message

So I download the Norton removal tool and used that to uninstall Norton 360 instead of using the built in uninstaller that comes with 360

I am now able to turn remote management on and off.  I thought this would fix my problem but it didn't the reason I wanted remote management turned on is because it was my understanding from reading other posts on this form that it must be turned in order to use Norton Studio and have the statistics be updated where it says "in the last 30 days". Currently mine looks like this.

Is there something else I must do make all the stats fill in?

My other 2 PCs show the information only 1 is showing all 0s

Glad that you were able to turn on remote management now. 

Are you still facing the issue with respect to stats not getting filled in Norton studio in one of the machines ?
