Understanding Norton 360

In a nutshell, since installing Norton 360 in early January, I've been "floundering". As a newcomer, its complexity pretty of well beyond me. It is far, far more demanding after the relative simplicity of Microsoft Defender. Indeed, I'm still far from certain that I've properly installed the various software packages, having no understanding of what I've been doing, other than "Install", sometimes with options and jargon that have meant nothing to me. I've used Feedback but have ever got a reply. Rather, Norton keeps trying to get me to buy more software before I feel at ease with what I already have. In this "maze of complexity", or perhaps elsewhere, is their a simple introduction for, embarrassingly, a "beginner" (we do exist)?

I would also point out that there is so much scope for misinterpretation and uncertainty. For example, there appear to be two ways to interact with Norton 360 or NortonLifeLink, seemingly either by "signing-in" or "logging-in". What is the difference, please?

Lastly, if I may, I posted a query 11 days ago in this "forum" about some Norton "privacy" software I'd been offered but had deferred for a more suitable time, and then not been able to find. Might there have been a response in the meantime.

Thank you very much for having the patience to read all this, but really the last eight months since returning to the internet after a lapse of 16 stress-free years have been very unpleasant. Once again, my thanks and appreciation in anticipation.

Sign in or Log in to your Norton account is the same.
