unwanted Norton Popup

How to stop the Norton annoying popup on promoting a password protection setup each time I open my browser. I seek Norton tech help and all he did was place the Norton icon on my taskbar and I need to click on it for the underlying popup to disappear from my screen. I already have a password protection HELP!

Re: unwanted Norton Popup

Was there a Don't show me this again note on this pop up ? Did you click on it, and have you rebooted ?

What is your operating system ?

Windows 10 Home X 64

Re: unwanted Norton Popup

Um, are you referring to Norton dialog to install the Norton Toolbar.
That's not going to stop until you install.  Once installed.  Simply disable.
Norton wants you to be fully protected.  Norton wants you to experience Toolbar.
Once you've satisfied Norton.  Then your option is Disable Toolbar.
You don't have to satisfy Norton by Safe Search or Norton Home Page.
Norton is however persistent about the Toolbar....

Re: unwanted Norton Popup

Thank you.The last thing I need is another toolbar smirking in the background even after I disable it.  Common, Norton, free me and let me have the choice.  I do like your product, and the tech people I came across are great when I needed help, like cleaning the mess from installing the "free" to Windows 10 offered what I thought was from Microsoft, ouch!

Re: unwanted Norton Popup

I also get the popup. I am really getting tired of Norton adding or removing items from my NIS that I have already paid for.

It is about time Norton opens a dialog with customers. Half the time when I ask a tech on "Chat", they do not know what

I am referring to. I did not ask for this change nor do I want it. If I want to try a toolbar, I will install it, I do not need to

keep seeing popups to tell me to do something I do not want to do. Come on Norton, talk to your Customers, we are

the ones keeping you in business!

I am a customer. I do not have to satisfy Norton. They have to satisfy me. I help pay to  keep their

business running. They  need to realize this and start a dialog with their customers. They do not even

have provisions for sending them an email.

Re: unwanted Norton Popup

Norton must have noticed our posting. I did not see this "...remember your password..." Popup lately nor did I do an "install and disable" function.

Norton, next time when you do a promotion, please give your customers a choice of saying "no thanks..." function.
