Update problems

This week norton changed language after updates 2 times already. First time after 27 updates (weird because I have auto-update so I don't know why 27) After reboot norton changed langauge.  I used live update after this and got another 5 updates and reboot again. My previous langauge back after reboot.

And after 3 days again randomly 27 updates that changed language and another 5 back it.

It's not a big problem for me but do you think it's normal?

Re: Update problems

greendio Just today I've had 19 updates as of this posting, 19 on March 5th, and 14 on the 4th. I'm on version 22.12.1.15 now so your updates appear in the norm. The latest version patch also cleaned up some old folders from pervious version as well.

Re: Update problems

But isn't it weird that norton change language and after I updated it back to normal

Re: Update problems

Indeed so, I don't have an explanation for that other than you being in a region other than the US, and have a product purchased directly from Norton vice another vendor.

Re: Update problems

I googled it after first time I got this problem.

"You updated your Norton product to the latest version from Norton Update Center, but the product appears to be in a different language." It's from norton official site so language after update is possible. But it's still kinda weird because I have norton a very long time and it's first time I see this change.

I just hope it's not anything "harmful" for my norton product

Re: Update problems

Yeah I seem to have some problems after updating my Norton Security Premium product. I can't call up Microsoft Edge and my sound volume control button does not work directly - I have to open the volume mixer before I can increase/decrease the sound volume. And the Start button on my Windows 10 will not open. It has crashed? with the update

I hope when I reboot my computer the next time it will work.

Um, are you Windows 10 1703 (15063.909) or (15063.936) ?

Re: Update problems

byFriday. Are you sure that a windows update wasn't installed or was pending? And if you have "fast boot" enabled disable it and all its settings. Including hibernate, here is how:  https://community.norton.com/en/forums/windows-881-or-10-and-fast-start-feature-0
