Updated Norton email address but Forums still show the old one...

...even though I now login with the new one!

I am logged into the Forum with my new email address, yet on the Account->View page it shows my old one and there is no means to edit that via Account->Edit which tells me to change it in my actual Norton account which I did do last week and shows my new email address OK. So, something's wrong with your Forums...

David. Log OUT of the forums AND your Norton accounts, reboot your machine. Browse back to your Norton account sign in and check for the info to synch.

Done all that umpteen times over the past week I'm afraid. Makes no difference...

I login to this forum with my new email address but within it it shows my old email address and when you reply that comes to the old email address.

David, I would give support a chance to look at something that may be going on with the backend of things. Something needs to be corrected on their side with your account.

OK. I'll give it a bit longer see if it catches up. I hate "Chat" - are they email-able at all?

No email for Norton Support for some time now. 

AFAIK Norton Support has nothing to do with the forum software. There is a separate forum development team that looks after the forum software. The forum admins have connection to the team.  After the weekend, you may see someone pop in here. If not we will escalate this for you.

FWIW!! The reference to have a chat convo was that when logging into the forums after a log out, I am always challenged with my Norton account credentials to log in. Therefore logging into the forums is absolutely tied to my Norton account credentials. My wonder is whether his norton account still has two separate email addresses tied to it in a manner he cannot see. Support can have a look and verify for him since we cannot.

Am using my new one to login to both Norton and the Forums. In the Forums though when logged in it still shows my old one. I'll wait and see if it gets picked up in the coming days.

(I detest "Chat" you often would get more sense out of talking directly to a Perl script and its an abysmally slow and frustrating way of doing support too...)

I've opened a ticket for the dev team to take a look.

Sounds like something is definitely wrong.

The email address on your profile page should be updated the moment you update your SecureLogin email address.
