Updates irregular in size in two different computers that happen?

Hi all.Last night, arrived at my home computer a super update of more than 26 mb. But today I have the laptop, and from a public wifi I was only updated with approx. 480 kb. What could be the answer to this difference in volume of data in updates?

Did you used different verions on the two? I mean version 2009 (rtm 16.0.0.125) with the patch no.1 (16.1.0.33) and no.2 (16.2.0.7). Maybe it hasn't got one of them, and now it has downloaded it.

Hi

I think I read somewhere in this forum that laptops if they are not connected to mains power only get the necessary pulse updates,in order that the battery is not run down.Mods correct me if I'm wrong. You can do a search in the search pane along the lines of laptops, battery usage etc. Hope it helps.

Hi all.morning carries the cable to plug the laptop and see if this will refresh with this super update. thus leaving doubts. But what I knew of laptops that use only batteries, which is suspending the automatic actions, but is not limited volume actualizacion bases, if they did I think it would be an absurd craze.
Tomorrow will respond when you performed the test, plug the laptop to the mains.

Re: Updates irregular in size in two different computers that happen?

Hello everyone. I have my laptop connected to the grid and I have run LiveUpdate to check the size of the updates. This super-update came to another computer  did not appear. the update that I got was the laptop in volume flow, which makes me think that something happened in the home PC to reach 26.5 mb update, and the only thing I can think of is to replace some patches that were in bad condition. If someone can explain what I would spend very grateful, because now I have paranoid thoughts about whether my laptop is less protected Thanks in advance

Did you check to see if both computers have the most recent version number 16.2.0.7?

Sometimes when Norton founds that the Virus Definitions are older then it should be, or corrupted somehow (like install bug from previous update), it downloads the whole package down, not only the "little" ones. There's nothing to worry about the bigger/smaller update size on different machines.
