UPNP alerts

We've just installed Norton Family on the kids machines and I'm trying to suppress an alert. The blocked website alert comes up with: http://unifi:8080/upnp Which is the UPNP port of our home router (Unifi). I've been trying to add that address to the allowed websites but it errors out with invalid address. How can I suppress these alerts either by allowing UPNP to the router or adding the url above to the whitelist

Re: UPNP alerts

Hello dalben. Remove and reinstall your Unifi package software, make sure you reboot the system before reinstallation. It sounds as though Unifi thinks it has been orphaned on another installation. Let us know if this helps.

Cheers

Re: UPNP alerts

There is no unifi software installed on the client.  Ubiquity Unifi is the brand/model of my home WiFi router and Access Points.

Re: UPNP alerts

I see, the article I looked at suggested Unifi as an endpoint/adapter with its separate software. Is this your model or something similar? Check your network setting in the router setup for UPNP being enabled on the WAN. You can also give NF support a shout for faster assistance.

Re: UPNP alerts

Might be a different Unifi.  Definitely not an endpoint or adaptor.  https://unifi-sdn.ui.com/
