Use of NAV in Batch File

I'm running Norton AV version 15.5.0.23 with Windows XP, Service Pack 3. In checking command line operation I entered the command "Navw32.exe \L \automation" and found that is does the full system scan as desired, but control is returned to the command line interpretor as soon as the scan begins. Is there a way to prevent subsequent MSDOS commands in a batch file from being executed until the scan is finished? My thanks for any and all who respond.

I don't know if this will work or not but does proceeding the command with START /WAIT work?

Re: Use of NAV in Batch File

Thanks Reese! Your advice pointed me were I needed to go(Help - MSDOS Start command).  Actually, I found out  Start /Wait wasn't needed because NAV32.exe, when run in a batch file, does not return control to the CLI until it is done. I was checking my command structure out by typing it in at the MSDOS prompt, and that gave me my problem
