Using one norton security code on more than one norton account

Hi, I recently had to update to norton security, and got a code to do so. But, my dad also uses norton, but his current subscription is on a different norton account. would it work if he used the code that I used on that account?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Flutterprower

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

I think this is something that you would have to ask customer support. They are the ones who take care of subscriptions and can help you with this sort of thing. You can have a free chat by using this link

Re: Using one norton security code on more than one norton account

When you activate the first system using a new code, Norton prompts you to sign into your Norton account.  The key then gets added to that account.  When the key is then used for other activations you don't get prompted to sign into a Norton account because the key has already been added to an account, whatever account that was used in the first activation.

One key, one Norton account.

Your Dad can use the key but the key is going to be assigned to your account, there is no way to have it attached to 2 accounts.  But that will not prevent him from using his Norton account for identity safe.

Re: Using one norton security code on more than one norton account

Like Dave has stated, the activation key essentially becomes married to the Norton Account on which it was registered.  If necessary it can be changed to a different (or new) Norton Account, but to do so involves getting Norton Technical Support assistance - and then, it's still married to that single different (or new) Norton Account.

However, for purposes of Cloud Vault (IDSafe) segregation, a separate Norton Account may be utilized...

Cheers!
John
