Virus Schedule not working for the past several weeks

I have been using NIS for years but switched to Norton Security Deluxe last year.  The last several weeks both quick scan and full scan will not schedule.  I have to scan my computer manually.  I have contacted support, uninstalled and reinstalled NS and I still can not schedule scans.  The full schedule is once a week, 11 pm, with AC power on and was working.  The quick scan does not scan after an update.  My computer will go days without any scans.  My sleep mode is set for 4 hours.  Thankful for any help.

Re: Virus Schedule not working for the past several weeks

Hello Morrow

What version are you running? What operating system and bit please? If you are on 22.9, you can check in Settings>Administrative Settings.. Go down to Silent Mode and turn that OFF and Apply. If it's already turned OFF, then turn it ON and Apply, Restart. Go back to the Administrative Settings and turn that Silent Mode back to OFF and Apply. Test your scans out. It might require doing this fix twice.

Please let us know if it works for you.

Thanks.

Re: Virus Schedule not working for the past several weeks

Hello floplot,

I tried your solution and everything is scanning automatically again.  I only had to do the fix once.  My Norton Security is version 22.8.1.14.  My operating system is Windows 7 professional 64-bit.

Thanks again for your help!!!
