VirusTotal uploader 2.0

For those who dont know VirusTotal is a website where you can upload suspicious files and have them scanned by 40 Antimalware apps. A couple years ago VT introduced a tool that would allow you to right click a file on your PC and upload it to VT via the context menu, after the upload it opens a browser window and gives you the results of the scan. I just found out that this tool has recently been upgraded to version 2.0. The new version has several significant improvements. You can now send up to 5 files at a time, and the file size limit has been increased from 10mb to 20mb. The best improvement is that you can now upload and scan process executables, this means that if you have a suspicious running process that you think may be malware, you can upload it to VT and have it scanned by 40 Antimalware apps. The program itself is tiny, it's taking up 200kb of space on my hard drive, also I neglected to mention that this tool is free. You can read more and download it here

Re: VirusTotal uploader 2.0

Thanks, Turbo; this should really be a help to quickly checking files on one's system.  Did you post this in the Tech Outpost board?
