VPN blocking Norton Family monitoring?

We use Norton Family to control & monitor our son's online activities on our home computers and on his smartphone.  He recently installed a VPN app on his smartphone.  When the VPN app is activated, will Norton Family still be able to monitor his device?

Thanks for reaching out to the Norton Family forum.

Norton Family android client will not be impacted due to VPN installed on the smartphone. The app will continue to monitor the device.
