VPN option on MY NORTON gives muted message - your computer is unable to access the internet when I CAN

I can access the internet but I am not getting VPN coverage as there is a muted message - your computer is currently unable to access the internet.

The VPN  option is back to functioning normally but it should be noted I did nothing to effect the recovery of the facility
