Vulnerability Signature corrupted file

System:  NAV Mac 11.0.3  OSX10.5.7      Norton Confidential 1.2.2

During normal usage this evening, we were prompted by our Mac to Restart (grey box overlayed on full screen video with power symbol in background with something about restart needed')

we did so and on rebooting, Norton then reports that the 'Vulnerability Protection Signatures are corrupted' and prompts a live update - we have done this but the same error comes up.  on trying to do the live update, the same grey box appears prompting a restart.

we have the downloaded version (non-disk) of NAV - what is the best way to go about clearing this error?

best regards

Re: Vulnerability Signature corrupted file

after some fishing around, i found out this is after-all a kernal panic and seems to be related to the 'vulnerability protection' module.  we have currently switched the module off having had the 2nd kernel panic in 20 mins.  if we can find the logs before the next one, we will post them here.

any suggestions to get our machine working smoothly again?  (all has been fine for several months until his issue which seems to have coincided with the latest LiveUpdate)

Re: Vulnerability Signature corrupted file

I am having the same problem... I am on a Power PC G4 laptop running OS 10.4.11  with Norton 11.1

Vulnerability Protection signatures have been corrupted and could not be used. You shourld run Live Updatge immediately and restart your computer....

I have done this a couple times and still get the same error msg.

thanks
