We’re Discontinuing These Features We will be discontinuing Norton Mobile Security’s Anti-Theft features on December 16, 2019. Please download your saved Contacts by January 16, 2020, or you will no longer have access to them.

No announcements except when tracking a device, nothing announced by Norton, no email shots, nothing on web search...not very good I'm afraid!

And your source? Is this a pop up in your device?

Thanks, I know it has nothing to do with you, but the decision to remove one of the major attraction features for the mobile app is a seriously poor choice.

I'm a long term Norton user, over 20 years, and I'm now moving my multiple managed mobile devices over to bitdefender, it will also most likely affect my client and server software choice, in view of bundle pricing..

Is finding a lost device your major concern? If so, Google supplies the same feature included in the Android OS.

I got the announcement in my Norton Account Manager, that the anti-theft feature will be end on December 16 as per screen shot bellow:

Speechless....

"is finding a lost device your major concern? If so, Google supplies the same feature included in the Android OS."

Besides just pulling a feature with little or no announcement, and NO reduction in price......

Using Google's locate feature has some ultra serious limitations

1) Limited by logged in account..I manage multiple devices..non starter

2) NO facility to take an image of who is walking around with the mobile to pass on!

For those of you looking, dump Norton and use bitdefender, much much cheaper, monthly sub £1 subscription (no more..yea, we will renew it and up the price!)

Brilliant interface

Bitdefender central app....a basic wow, Norton has nothing to match (the web interface on Norton is a sad joke)

FAST accurate location(no more 10 to 20 min wait , then having to re-try, location of the device, yes Bitdefender wipes the floor in this respect!)

Comparable AV lab results, yes really sub 1% difference in many trials

Some superior features such as breach list scanning by email, nothing like that on Norton.

Much less drag on phone system resources (personal opinion)

I am considering dumping my Norton subscription altogether after 20 years and switching my desktop clients too ..  (It would be a damn site cheaper !)
