Web blocking doesn't work for Chrome Guest mode

I have set up web blocking, but it's not working if the child opens the Chrome guest user. So, it defeats the whole purpose, and my child is able to browse without restrictions. Any solution?

Re: Web blocking doesn't work for Chrome Guest mode

Hi @F Costello,

Norton Family provides web supervision protection when incognito/guest browsing modes are used. The child would be blocked with a browser specific "Internet access block" page (in place of custom Norton Family block page). This would prevent the child from viewing websites that are not allowed as per the house rules.

Upon investigating the backend data, we see no events from your child's windows device for the past few days. Please ensure that Norton Family setup is intact in your child's windows device by following the below steps:

  • Norton Family tray icon is visible in Windows system tray.
  • If yes, the tray icon should show the green color tick mark
  • Try browsing a website and see if any of the disallowed websites are getting blocked.

Please let us know should you require further assistance.

Thanks,
Norton Family Team
