Websites not accepting new credit card

I am having difficulty getting my renewed credit card to be accepted on the websites I use. I did not activate my VPN yet , any ideas what could be blocking new credit card from being accepted. Thank you

Re: Websites not accepting new credit card

Do you have the credit card info stored on Norton Password Manager? Or is it stored on any other digital wallet?

Is it just the expiration date that has changed? What is the error message you are receiving from the websites?

Re: Websites not accepting new credit card

I changed the stored credit card  info on Norton  Manager an hour  or so ago , I have tried editing on the other sites I used . I was told by my bank the card may be flawed so changed it again yesterday to a new one, still no acceptance of it. Is there any other site that may be refusing my cards? I appreciate your help thank you.

Re: Websites not accepting new credit card

If the card may be flawed it seems like you will have to sort that out first with the bank before entering on any new websites.

I think when you enter a new card the company does a quick check with the issuing bank to see if the card is valid. If they get an error in return from the bank you will get an error message saying card is invalid.

Also, are you activating the new card before trying to enter the info?

I did take the card back and was issued another one. It does not work either. also different number and expiry date  The bank told me the card was activated for me, how do I find out? Also I did not install Norton Password Manager as I thought, can my info be stored in there anyway ie: credit card? I do apologize for my lack of technical issues and do appreciate your time and patience. Thank you

Re: Websites not accepting new credit card

Are you sure this is a credit card or is this a debit card? There is a difference in how a company may accept it or reject it.

I suggest that you take your new card to a retail store and buy some groceries or other items and see if that transaction goes thru. Make sure you have cash or other way to pay in case it does not go thru.

And if you did not install Norton Password Manager then your card will not be in there. And maybe call the bank again to make sure the card is activated.

Good Luck.
