What do you like about Norton 360?

Aside from the technical probelms that pop up with 360 I thought it would be both nice and helpful if users would have a place to be able to post what they most like about the 360 program. I think it would help developers understand what users of 360 would like to keep in the program as well as continue to develop on, as well as knowing their efforts are appreciated beyond the snaffu's :)

So post away with what features or what you most like about N360.

I think the most precious thing in Norton 360 is the secure online storage. I also like the ability to clean up registry and temporary files easily. Finally, Norton 360 is good because it's all-in-one security solution for home users and small business, and It's easy to install and use. I think with the addition of backup sets rather than just one particular backup it has been made a more versatile feature.

For small businesses that don't already subscribe to an online backup storage place or do any backups on a separate medium or for users such as myself that only want to backup a small amount of files and not pay a monthly fee it is a definate helpful feature to have.

I'd also like to mention that I am glad that the ability to many windows that are used in version 3 have given the user the ability to not only maximize the window but to be able to adjust it's viewing area!  It makes it easier to look at different things and compare what is being displayed in that window should I want to compare different displayed items without having to keep scrolling down and then back up!

Re: What do you like about Norton 360?

I've used Norton products for quite a few years.

I recently updated to Norton 360 and was pleased to see the beta supported Windows 7 and now the final release does.

It's all about peace of mind for me and simplicity of use and how quickly that peace of mind is understood. One look at the icon down in the notification area tells me that everything is OK.

If that's not enough - then one simple click shows me the window that confirms everything.

The product goes deep enough to satisy any tech cravings but is simple enough to allow me to be lazy too.

The fact I can still block programs of choice suits me. It's quick to clean up temp files etc.

It would be cool if it also acted as an IP blocker like Peerguardian (which is an IP Blocker only). That would be the icing on the cake for me. Especially as Peerguardian doesn't work (as is) with Win 7.

I suppose the designer of the main window secured my business mostly. I fell in love with the all in one information screen as soon as I tested the program. The BIG GREEN button saying You are Protected... says it all.

2 cents.

Re: What do you like about Norton 360?

I have always used Norton as my main security programme since starting on the internet in the 1990's and have trusted it to do a good job and guess always will. I have looked at other programmes out of interest and on other systems which do not use Norton and prefer it to any other. It has always been easy to use, which has even been improved and Norton 360 is easier to use than previous Norton programmes. The look of the screens is great and most things are easy to find and understand.

Every programme I have ever used has had it problems and of course Norton is no exception, however, I have always found the support staff helpful and friendly and problems have always been sorted out fairly easily. Occasionally I find they seem to think we know nothing which is a little annoying at times.

I have a concern that most companies are appearing to try to offer everything in one programme so everybody is offering online backup, and antispyware programmes now offer antivirus included or as an option, also including file clean up and registry repair. Now trying to list them so many different things in one programme. Some of this is good but are we getting to the position where the companies and programmes are jack of all trades and master of none. Just a thought! It may not be a direct comparison but trying to do too many things instead of specialising on what they are good at has been part of the problem in the financial world and we all know what has happened there, although I do not want to start a debate on that subject in a Norton Forum.

Re: What do you like about Norton 360?

And a big thank you to the developers for adding the ability to remove individual devices from the Network Security Map!  A number of people may not need to use this ability but thank very much for listening to the people that it comes in quite handy for, however many or few that that may be.
