Re: What does this dialog box mean?

I had this issue on my Mac, it is trying to connect to "Universal Control" on your iPad.  Universal Control uses the iPad as a 2nd monitor so you can use your keyboard/mouse on your iPad - it's a cool feature of MacOS.  It doesn't work on iPhone just iPad.

Hello. Have you clicked "Details" for more information about what is attempting to connect?

Re: What does this dialog box mean?

Another question is do you have remote access enabled on this device? Another device sitting near yours may be attempting to connect through that setting being enabled. I would disallow it until you can verify.

Thanks. Next time it pops up I'll look at the details. I'm pretty sure I did when it happened before but I don't recall what it said and didn't understand it.

Re: What does this dialog box mean?

Hi, I don't believe I have remote access enabled. I do have an iPad and iPhone in addition to my MacbookAir and they are usually nearby. Would that do it? I don't know how to find the setting that would allow remote access.

Re: What does this dialog box mean?

The other MAC devices could be making remote/shared connection attempts. I would check all of them for the sharing being enabled as a test to be safe.
