What is DVDChangedisc.exe?

Greetings community :)

Like in the thread tittle "what is DVDChangedisc.exe"

So after a full scan norton showed me a msg in history "DVDChangedisc.exe exonerated" and like with every file I see in norton history I wanted to know more.On first website I found information that DVDChangedisc is safe MSI file, but that's the only one website with good informations about this file. I found a lot forum threads about possible malware or virus so I'm kinda confused.

It's NCW msg "which is not a malware detection" but if you know more about this file please help me with this question :)

Re: What is DVDChangedisc.exe?

You can just google the file name to see what it is. The message in Norton History is just noting that Norton has determined the file is safe, and that the Norton Community Watch system is going to send that information to Norton to add to the information from all other Norton users who have, or come across that file.

Only thing I found about this file is "it's MSI file" , but I can't find one opinion about it. It's safe on one website but not trusted on the other one

Re: What is DVDChangedisc.exe?

Do you have an MSI computer or motherboard? It is probably associated with some drivers or software for your system.

Re: What is DVDChangedisc.exe?

Yes that's exactly the same like I've seen. I have MSI motherboard so I hope it's not suspicious file but drivers.
