What Happened to Quick Scan

With the latest NAV release (22.22.7.12), the Quick Scan option has been removed from the Classic UI (which is what I use).  The way I see it, it's okay to have a Smart Scan button in addition to Quick Scan, but it's not okay to eliminate Quick Scan from the Classic UI landing (opening) page.

To use Quick Scan now I have to right-click on the Taskbar NAV icon or go into Scans to pick this option.  Looking forward to see Quick Scan again on the NAV opening page .. as that's what I use all the time.

Re: What Happened to Quick Scan

CeeBee, since I run both Norton Security Ultra and Norton 360 Deluxe in a mixed environment I have checked both for the Quick Scan location. They are the same in each instance. If you right click the system tray Norton icon a menu will appear. Near or at the top Quick Scan is listed. I can use it there. I believe Norton has done some additional "housekeeping" with the locations of scan having dropped them into the same group under scans. Maybe Norton will return it to the main UI as others make it clear they want it returned to the previous location.

Re: What Happened to Quick Scan

Hello CeeBee. The latest current version of Norton is 22.22.7.14, have you ran live update to get the patch to that version yet? Also, what OS are you using? Older versions of Windows and running Norton are now in "maintenance mode" meaning new features won't be applied. Only protection updates to the core of the product you are using.

Just an added note that, my install of Norton Security Ultra exhibits the same behavior.

Re: What Happened to Quick Scan

Thanks!  I'm on NAV 22.22.7.14 already, but, same issue.  As for OS, W10 Pro x64 21H2.  I note that you experience the same "behavior" so I'm going to drop the query for now.  Appreciate your follow-up!
