What program do I need to run the Norton download?

My computer was recently doing some funky things, but the Norton that was still left on my computer seemed to have resolved it, but now I downloaded the new Norton and it pops up a window wanting to know what program I want to use to run it? It also asks me that when I click on my internet explorer icon on my main screen, it wants to know what to run internet explorer with? HELP!

Welcome,

It sounds like the resolution wasn't complete. If your computer will not let you download and run an upgrade to your Norton product there is a probblem. Can you run a full scan with your existing version? If not can your download, install, update and run the free version of Malwarebytes scanner found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

Let us know how things go. There are more tools and techniques available to help clean up the problem.
