So, I'm just wondering, What's the point to have Norton VPN service if it doesn't let you access most internet sites? I can't even access many legit sites I use every day without turning it off. Do all VPN services do the same thing? They boast about how you information is protected but it makes day to day work nearly impossible to deal with, having to turn it on and off. What other solutions then are there?

Websites often block VPN access for legal or copyright reasons. There is nothing a VPN provider can do to get around these blocks. Contact the individual web sites to see if they block VPN access. Many sites do this for legal/copyright reasons. A VPN service does not block access to any sites. There is no white/blacklists for sites. Web sites have the right to protect their content. And sometimes there are legal reasons for blocking access to users from a different geographic location. (credit peterweb)

If you feel the need to run a VPN service. Maybe, trial another/other VPN service/s.
IMO all VPN services do not do the same thing as all VPN services.

The major benefit of a VPN is to protect your wifi connection when using public hotspots. Your data is encrypted before it leaves your computer so if there are any snoops in the cafe, they cannot steal any information from your connection. All they will see is gibberish.
A VPN is not meant to try to bypass a web site owner's right to protect their content.

Actually, before it stopped working completely for nearly all Norton 360 customers end of February 2022, most of us the early part of March 2022, whenever I would get that blocked screen... if you look down, there's usually a link that says something like "proceed without protection." If you click that you can get to the site. However, I've never found that problem to be a problem with Norton 360 secure VPN, but more a problem of the Norton Safe Web browser add-on.

Confirming same problem for me since late February. No access to any internet sites unless I turn off VPN, once I connect to the site I turn the VPN back on. Will work for a while, but eventually lose all access and have to repeat. Can't pinpoint the actual start to tie to a 360 update, but certainly something has changed. Very frustrating.
