Why do I have to set up security every time I log into Norton 360

I log into Norton 360 app on my android phone a motorola g50. The following appears. App security. Setup required. Internet security . Setup required. I have followed all suggestions on a closed thread, even downloaded s new version with no result. The new version is the same as the original. The old one worked fine for a long time. Ive spoken to three Norton operators and following their advice had just got Me charged £14 for a new app which still don't work spent hours chatting but they dont understand what is happening. Is there nobody on Norton or this forum who can sort this and also return my money. My app had ages to run and was linked to many devices. The new one is only on this phone and does not work as far as I can see. Android version 11. Motorola g50 phone with latest patches. Steps to reproduce. 1 click on Norton 360 app. 2 click on any of the first 2 options shown. Neither are relevant and both try to sell you additional functionality that is included in your current valid subscription. Norton technical operators don't seem to be able to solve this. Needs to be picked up by a top guru.

Check in Android Settings > Accessibility and look in Installed Services. Be sure Norton 360 Service is turned on.

Solved. But what a trail to get this. Thanks Peter for your knowledge. But should not the app have turned on Norton security settings. Seems a bit of bad coding on someone's part.

My experience has been that Norton does prompt you to turn that service on during the setup process. The service is required to run the Security settings, and I suggest that there may be some reason that Android does not want apps to start changing settings. If an app can turn it on, a malformed app could also turn it off, leaving you with no security until you noticed it.

It may do on some phones but does not on mine. Eventually I managed to turn them on myself. Problem solved
