Re: why do scans in safe mode?

Sometimes antivirus software fails to remove viruses in "normal mode" when the malicious program is currently loaded into memory/as a process and starts every time with Windows startup. And Safe mode loads only the most necessary files to run Windows, so the virus won't be executed in safe mode and the antivirus software should be able to remove it, as it's not active.

Thanks! That's my aim - short and easy to understand replies (solutions).  I often avoid long posts
