Why renewal is ridiculously expensive than buying new?

Why renewal is ridiculously expensive than buying new?

I am referring to Norton 360 Deluxe

When I am renewing, the cost is showing as S$114.

Order Summary

Norton™ 360 Deluxe

$ 114.00

While the cost of buying new (same product) is showing as S$69 on your website

https://sg.norton.com/products/norton-360-deluxe?inid=nortoncom_nav_norton-360-deluxe_homepage:home

This does not make any sense. The renewal cost should be cheaper than buying new one!

Maybe, talk to NortonLifeLock Member Services.

CecilDKent Jr:
My Norton 360 Deluxe is set to auto renew next week for $104.99
A new copy sells for $49.99.
Norton should reduce the price for loyal customers instead of charging them twice the market rate, hoping they will not notice.
After spending my time and an online agents time, they reduced the cost, again, to $49.99.  This happens every year.

I think Norton should take note of all the talk about renewal.

The cost of renewing automatically should contain a percentage reduction for loyalty much like insuring your automobile or home with the same company year to year. You can search Norton or online retailer's websites for better pricing. Seems like Norton is in competition with themselves as well as with other Antivirus providers.

And packaging should be simpler than what is currently offered as I challenge folks to figure out what the various options are as even customer service people have trouble since there are so many different websites with different pricing and come ons.

Simpler is better than complex - just look the philosophical principal up Occam's Razor.

Call Norton support to straighten things out and get a refund.

Are you just looking at emails from Norton? The first may have been a heads up of the upcoming payment, and the second could be the receipt for the payment. Have you checked your bank records to see if two payments did get taken out?

The wisest way is to disable Auto renew option from My Norton portal. Purchasing Norton 360 licenses from Amazon is waaay cheaper. Enter the new code and enjoy the renewal.

I've been trying to talk to someone at Norton about the fact that I was promised a refund to match the Amazon price, but there seem to be no human agents on Chat and no telephone numbers shown that I can call.

Has anybody else found a UK phone number?

Please read my comments on this as I got the renewal of the Norton Deluxe for $51.36 including tax, although someone replied to my first comment that you could get it for $29.99. I have never gotten  it for that low a price.  I live in USA.
