Why is the there the G+1 by itself?

I'm not exactly sure where to put this thread.

Why is the G+1 button by itself rather than with the other share/like buttons?

It shows a bit of favoritism.

Just that they're aware of it and will be moving it off of the header and then eventually coupling it with the Twitter and Facebook links. They didn't mention a time-frame this would get done in.
