My desktop computer is listed under devices but nothing is being filtered. I can't figure out how to limit what's coming to our main computer. Why can't this be more intuitive...................
Can you please detail what you are trying to do and what's not intuitive? We can try to help if you can provide more context.
I want to filter this computer - so no one can watch porn or stuff on it. There's an option to filter each child's device - but I also want to have the desktop covered. When I click on house rules, it's still for the children's devices.
Thanks for the information. Please check out the links to the Get Started Help files and make sure you have installed and configured the program correctly.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
I have repeatedly installed Norton on this computer. It's the windows computer at the bottom with the red exclamation mark - why is that there? I can't see how to configure any settings for it. When I click on house rules, I only get the kids' accounts.
Please hover your mouse over the red exclamation mark and you should see some text information. Can you please show me the screen shot for "When I click on house rules, I only get the kids' accounts." by private message? You can send private message via the forum by clicking Inbox at upper right hand corner.
For your own privacy protection, I removed some letters from your children's profiles and device names.
Katie - I sent you the private message as requested but haven't heard back. When I hover over the red exclamation of our desktop, it says it's not associated with any of the children. That is my point - that I want this desktop protected. I can only seem to protect the kids' devices. This is taking forever. I have already done the links sent - making sure it's installed correctly. It still doesn't protect this computer.
Thanks for the update. Sorry I misunderstood you. I thought you had figured out how to solve the issue as in your private message, you pointed out the issue is that the account is not associated with any children, this is exactly what the problem is.
Ok, here is what you need to do. As you see from the message, you need to associated the Windows account with profile, you can solve this by
1. Log onto your NF online account and go to child Profile page to see if your Windows account and the child’s profile is connected, you will see checkbox, please check the appropriate box
2. Go to go to the child's laptop -> Norton Family icon in system tray -> Edit accounts -> then associate the child's Windows account with his/her online profile name.
Please let us if the issue is resolved for you or not after trying the steps.
