WiFi Privacy Must Reinstall Every Time

I'm running Norton WiFi Privacy on a Windows 7 machine. Every time I restart my computer, I must reinstall WiFi Privacy, even though I have selected to have it open at startup. There is no folder in my program files for WiFi Privacy, and it is not included in other Norton folders. It does not appear in my systray, and the only icon on my desktop appears to be the installer. I'm getting frustrated with the time needed to go through the installation each time!

Re: WiFi Privacy Must Reinstall Every Time

I thought that this issue was supposed to have been resolved. I'll try to flag it again.

Can @Mohan_G please look into this?

Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP, is probably still installed. Are you using a non admin Windows account?

What I had to do is locate the NWP.exe file and create a shortcut on the desktop. Mine is at

C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton WiFi Privacy\client\Norton Wifi Privacy.exe

Once I ran the exe from the standard Windows user account, it would continue to start up after restarting Windows.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I can't even get NWP to run on windows 7. It tries to start then just locks up. Windows says program couldn't run. I've reinstalled with same problem. Any Help??

Re: WiFi Privacy Must Reinstall Every Time

Are you using a Windows Admin account? Try installing and running from an admin account to see if that helps.
