Will my "older" computer run NAV 2008?

I currently have NAV 2005 running on my Pentium III, with 1.10GHZ and 512mb ram.  The system seems to be a bit bogged down and am concerned about upgrading to NAV2008.  I really want to put the newer version on my system, but wonder if it will slow my computer down even more?  Also, am running the free version of Zone Alarm - will it "play nice" with NAV2008?

I don't think that NAV08 will slow down your PC. 256 MB of RAM is the minimum requirement, and 512 MB is quite enough. I use NAV08 on my older PC (1.7 Ghz, 512MB RAM) and It works fine. I don't recommend you to use Zone Alarm with NAV08 installed. Since version 2005, NAV has Inbound firewall integrated and provides optimal protection for your PC, so It will work faster with ZA uninstalled. If you think you need even more protection, you may consider upgrading to Norton Internet Security 2008.

Agreed with Vejdin, NAV08 should be signficantly lighter on your system than 05 and you will likely be better off without ZA trying to coexist with NAV on the same system. NAV08 does offer an inbound FW as well as intrusion prevention which will block known exploits. If you prefer a complete FW though, NIS08 is the way to go.
