Win 10 NS tray icon repeatedly goes AWOL

Hi all: My wife bought a Dell 17 series Win 10 laptop 2 weeks ago and I installed NS Deluxe. Since the NS install, the NS icon randomly disappears from the task bar. Running NRnR restores NS to working condition, until the next time it happens again. The laptop came with McAffee Security. Before installing NS, I did a Control Panel uninstall of McAffee and ran the McAffee removal tool. Services indicates there is still 1 running McAffee service - (mfemms - McAfee Service Controller ("Manages McAfee Services - Running, Automatic, trigger start"), but it is greyed out, therefore I'm not able to alter it. I suspect this may possibly be the cause. Suggestions?

TIA - Brian

I would try running the McAfee removal tool again from a Windows admin account.

Have you disabled the Windows Fast Startup feature? This can cause issues with different programs.

If you use Windows 10, there can be an issue with the Fast Start feature.. See more information here.

Running the McAfee removal tool from an admin account resolved the issue. Thanks, peterweb!

Glad it worked.

If you could mark your post as the solution, it will help others that may have the same issue. Look for a link at the bottom of the post beside the Reply link that says Mark as Solution.
