Win10 BUG?

Hi,

If you change the boot protection options, then I can not change a few settings. Just reinstall resolve. WTF???

"Automatikus védelem": Automatic protection

"Valós idejű védelem": Real time protection

"Cserélhető adathordozók vizsgálata": Removable media scan

"These settings can not be changed due to servicing operation is in progress. To resolve this issue, restart your computer."

Re: Win10 BUG?

hi Colos

I occasionally find that those settings are greyed out following a Live Update. Once I have shutdown my laptop and turned it on again (not Restart) the settings return to normal. On one occasion it did not happen until after a second shutdown.

Re: Win10 BUG?

It's not threatening and Norton is safe, that's what we found out in that looooong thread, more a terrible nuisance for some people who like to work without protection. I was called by support for more data just a week or so ago.

From page 3 forward of the thead mentioned gives the most essential info and the last 4-5 posts say something about the status.

If you want you can try to find out the culprit program in your system, methods are on page 3 forward.

Re: Win10 BUG?

If you've restarted the computer & those settings are still disabled then it's possible that another program is interfering with Norton; in my case it was Core security.
