Windows XP support?

Does Norton Family 3.6.3.41 still support Windows XP SP3? According to these Norton support pages I found, it should still work:

(12/02/2016): http://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v40429065_nort...

(10/05/2016): http://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb200804101154...

Right now, the time limits are working, but that's it. It's not filtering any web pages in Firefox 52.0.1 ESR. No web activity is being logged. The safe/strict web search option is not being enforced either. The NF addon for Firefox is version 3.6.3.4 and says it's enabled.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Norton Family as a troubleshooting step, but nothing changed.

Thanks for any info.

Re: Windows XP support?

Hi

Norton Family supports Windows XP ServicePack3 32 bit but not 64 bit.

You have 32 bit or 64 bit?

Thanks

Re: Windows XP support?

I have Windows XP SP3 32-bit. Besides Firefox, same issue in IE and Chrome--no web filtering. Norton Family add-on/plug-in appears to be updated and enabled in each browser.

This seems to be a fairly new issue (just over the past 2 weeks) so maybe it's a problem with the latest version of Norton Family 3.6.3.41? Norton Family was working fine before that.

Thanks Katie!

Re: Windows XP support?

Hi sladeus,

Thanks for the update.  Just want to make sure Norton Family is installed and configured correctly on the PC, can you please answer the following questions?

  1. Do you see a pop-up message at lower right hand corner saying you are being monitored after you log onto your PC as the child?
  2. If you log onto the PC as the monitored child and try to access a forbidden website, do you get blocked?

Thanks

Katie

Thanks Katie
