Worst happened. Finally.

So I have just downloaded fresh version of Norton Security, from US site.

Know what? Key from Norton Internet Security doesn't work with it. You say, Symantec promised all updates and upgrades while buying a key? Forget that. No more updates for you. They force us to stay on outdated version 21. And what about those who has 1-2 years keys? Stay for 2 years with v21?

More important, no hints or news or any advice from Symantec about free upgrade or may be even upgrade with small fee to new version. NOTHING. Worst customer care.

Total rip-off, I say.

Norton / symantec is playing the role of thief in police and thief play.... And customers the police... Why Norton is keeping their ******* mouth shut in the community? There was news all over about older keys will not be working with New release, but no final official word from the thieves. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (No offence intended by the strong languages used if any)

Marc: David, as of the moment we don't have the tool yet to generate a replacement order of Norton Security from a Norton 360 Multi-Device. However, there is no need to worry as your Norton 360 Multi-Device still has the ultimate protection on your computer.

Marc: If you want you can just purchase a new Norton Security once the Norton 360 Multi-Device Expires and you are very much welcome to contact us anytime so we can further assist you on installing it.

David Desrosiers: So I cannot update to the newest version I must wait for my current subscription to expire.

Marc: David, as of the moment, you can still use the current product that you have and get the same ultimate protection because there are no tools yet here on our end that can generate a replacement order of Norton Security product for you. 

Marc: Yes, David, once your current Norton program expire then, you can decide to purchase a new Norton Security program for your computer.

David Desrosiers: Do you know when the tools will be available, my subscription is new and won't expire for over 300 days. I have always been able to upgrade to the newest versions as soon as they come out. I have read the forums and this seems to be the question on everyones mind.

Marc: Yes that is correct, David, because the newer version of Norton totally change its profile, however, there is no need to worry if you have your current Norton 360 Multi-Device as it still has the ultimate Norton protection.

David Desrosiers: That is very disappointing Marc. Your company has just lost my business. Please pass my displeasure to your bosses. Thank you for your time.

Marc: David, I really do understand where you are coming from however, as of the moment there are no definite updates yet on where we can upgrade the current version of Norton to the newer version of Norton.

Marc: If you want you can just contact us back anytime on our Support link: norton.com/chat to check if the free upgrades is already available.

David Desrosiers: And it sounds like you won't have one. This information would have been great a month ago before I updated my subscription as I would of waited. I will follow this in the forums I don't think I will be the only customer who is not happy with this.

Marc: I understand how you feel about it, David, because like you I also have the current version of Norton but still I can't change or replace it with the newer version, however, I really do believe that the our Engineering team is now working for this issues.

Marc: \I would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation along the process, I really do appreciate it.

Let's see- the product has been in beta how many months?

They have been planning to release it on 9/23 for weeks now and no clarification on the upgrade status of all their current customers.

The CS will be busy converting existing licenses to new ones for a few weeks (or months?). Meanwhile there is no board to bring up, discuss and solve the issues related to NS & NSB except the public beta board. I request the mods and admins to create the board for it ASAP!

Yeah Dave, I got it. It was after I flagged my message as offensive the new board was created;)... (checking its time frame with time frame of Tony's welcome message.)

Time zones play a part here. Tony is on the west coast of the US. Many of us start our day while Tony is still in bed.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I've sent you a private message to get more details on your case. The agent was mistaken; that is not the way it should be handled, and I apologize. I've contacted our teams to reiterate the correct way to handle a case like yours, which is (assuming the chat session info to be accurate) that you're within the 60 day return policy window for Norton 360. We would recommend returning that product for you, then getting you set up with Norton Security. Would that be acceptable? Again, I'm very sorry for this confusion. I agree that this is dissuading to others who wish to contact support, but hopefully most people will realize this is one case of many, and we are taking steps to ensure the right processes are followed by all Customer Support Agents.

I change from norton360 to new internet security with backup

I had to buy the new internet security with backup and transfer my days I had left on my norton360 that what I was told so I bought the new product then support transfer my days I had left

but it was a big mistake not as good as norton360 I think they have went backwards with there development  I wont be renewing my subscription unless big improvement with the product

Please Chat with Norton Support about a refund if purchased within the last 60 days.  I don't know if you will get your added days returned.  But, you may be able to get a refund and return to N360 or other product.  AFAIK N360 is still available.
