WS.Reputation.1

Hey Folks,

First of all I'm so $#%$&#*&@&# with Norton, I'm ready fire Norton.  OK so here is my issue - trying to install an update to a program, but since the file is only 19 days old, the WS.Reputation.1 deletes it.  I've now spent a few hours researching and have done the:

1) Turn off Norton.....it still does it.

2) Add the file Scan Exclusions

3) Add the Signature WS.Reputation.1 to exclude from all detections and still the file is deleted.

Seriously Norton, I do not have time to screw around this this while my project is on hold because of a false positive.  If I did this to any of my clients, I would be out of a job.

Is the file deleted or Quarantined.

For second opinion choose File and / or Search hash at VirusTotal and/or submit to Symantec for review analysis > How to report false positives

Re: WS.Reputation.1

Actually the file was never "quarantined" so that option was not available.

Okay, every WS.Reputation.1 I've seen has been Quarantined.
Maybe, you have Low Risks at Remove.   Maybe, you have some setting re Risks at Automatic.
Maybe, check Settings to your preference.
Thanks
