You are at risk error

Hi all,

I am unable to get rid of the "You are at risk" error.

Clicking on FIX NOW opens up "Norton LiveUpdate" and it fails at that stage.

I have restarted my laptop 5 times already.

I have reinstalled the program and that didnt help either.

My internet connection is just fine (Posting this thread from my laptop)

Hello MahMen

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

Please disable Fast Startup in your Power Settings.

Please make sure system time, location, time zone are correct.

Please check out your trust levels for your computer.

Please use a Windows Administrator Account  when making any changes or reinstalls.

You can also try resetting your firewall...

Thanks.

Re: You are at risk error

Hi Floplot,

Thank you very much for your prompt response.

Unfortunately, none of the solutions worked. Infact, I completely disabled Firewall and still it wouldn't help.

Re: You are at risk error

Hello

I just came across another person who hasn't been able to run Live Update manually since Friday. You can use the Intelligent Updater to get the days SDS Definitions so that you can keep up to date with that.. Let me find a link for that.

Re: You are at risk error

I believe the problem lies with the Symantec server. I have not been able to do a LiveUpdate since Friday morning

Re: You are at risk error

Hello

Are you located in Australia and use TPG or an affiliate with them? There is another thread here and all the users are in Australia and use TPG ISP. They are supposedly doing some sort of maintenance--TPG that is. As a work around, you can use a free VPN and point it to the USA.
