Re: Your subscription has been renewed today after free trial is expired

Thank you for sharing this. This email's subject line, even without seeing the email, has a lot of red-flags, in the copy itself.

Here are the red flags to look out for:

1. Does the email say it is sent from secure.norton.com (or potentially another @norton.com domain)? If yes, it is from us. If not, it's probably not from us. I've seen lots of these scam emails sent from gmail accounts. That's classic phishing attempt and poorly executed at that! We don't do that :)

2. Does the email have multiple grammatical errors? Yes...like this one? It's probably not from us, since we have a highly capable copy editing team.

3. Is it referencing a product you do not have or a credit card you don't use? Then there is a good chance this is also not from us.

The post above from our esteemed Guru also provided some great links that help you verify this but it's a good idea to always do these checks first and ignore if you think it is a scam. If you ever want to double check, refer to the articles above but if you need extra assurance you can also reach out to a human to ensure, but before you reach out, always visit support.norton.com to contact us as that is our secure path and will ensure the phone number you dial or chat you raise is official! Thanks for your concern and sharing this important topic!
