"Activation Failed" message when using app on smartphone

When I try to use the Norton app on my Android smartphone, I get a message saying, "Activation Failed. Try Again". It never works. What is the solution?

Thank you so much for your guidance. Genius! On my Galaxy A51, I didn't have the three bars at the top left, but I just signed in to my Norton account and went from there. Everything now appears to be working property. I feel safe again. Cheers!

What Android version is on your device? Norton 360 now requires a minimum of Android 8.

Thank you for your reply. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A51, which I think is an Android 10. I bought it new about a year ago.

Try going into Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the 360 app and clear the app cache and app Data. Restart the device. This will reset your 360 to a trial version. To get the full version back, open the 360 app, tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap Sign In. Enter your Norton Account information and you should have the full version again.

Then test to see if things work properly.

You are welcome. Thanks for posting back. I'll have to change my saved instructions, as you pointed out the three bars are not there until you sign into your Norton Account.
