Norton AntiTrack subscription/license is for 1/5/10 PCs or Macs - devices.

  • Set-up: to get the protection/service started, you must download and install on each device and/or complete set-up.

read "seat/s" - think "device/s"

for example:

Find out how many devices you can protect with your Norton subscription

Most Norton products let you install on 3, 5, and 10 devices. If you are purchasing a new Norton product, and want to know how many devices you can install your product on, go to Norton Online Store. The license information for all Norton products is displayed on Norton Online Store.

For China, Japan, and Korea: Norton account is not created during purchase. Once your product is installed, you can create an account from my.Norton.com. For detailed instructions, read Create a Norton account.

If you have already purchased and installed Norton, you can find the license information from your Norton account.

FIND THE NUMBER OF SEATS AVAILABLE

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. In the My Subscription tab, click your Norton product.

  3. Review the number of seats available for installation.

Ok I'm a computer programmer and own a computer repair business in the US and I have never heard of "seat."

Thanks for the explanation-I still don't think an average USA home user would understand it that way but I'm going to be leaving Norton 360 and just stick with LifeLock so it's fine with me. Thank you for your quick responses and replies!

Per seat licensing often imposes restrictions on the users. A user may be a person, software or device accessing the software.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Per-seat_license

A multi-seat license key is one license key with 2 or more seats or uses. You can use the same license key to register all computers up to as many seats as you have purchased.

for example:

Extend your protection to your other devices

If your subscription allows multiple installations, you can install your protection on additional PC, Mac, or mobile devices at no extra cost. Find the number of seats that are available with your subscription to see if you can extend Norton protection to other devices.

If it is one 'seat' that I've purchased, why is it installing the extension on 3 other computers I own?

Does your Norton AntiTrack subscription/license for one device work on your three devices?
As I recall, at an earlier time.  AntiTrack subscription/license offering was for only 1 Windows PC (Mac not currently supported). [for example: here]
Now, I find AntiTrack subscription/license offering is for 1/5/10 PC or Mac devices.
