Older version of Norton Secure VPN killing Newer version

Receintly upgraded to Norton 360 from older version of Norton Internet Securities and Norton Secure VPN. Newer version of Norton Internet Securities runs fine and for a while, the included VPN did as well. Now, the newer version of the VPN will not connect, upon further research found that the older version was back and running. I cannot delete or shut off the older version, it just regenerates when I try to do so.

Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Older version of Norton Secure VPN killing Newer version

This issue was resolved with the help of Norton Support. An older version of Norton Secure VPN did not uninstall when I installed Norton 360. The older version, even when it was shut off, was still running, and it did not allow the VPN in Norton 360 to connect.

As you have the VPN feature in 360, you should uninstall the standalone Norton Secure VPN. You should be able to uninstall from the Windows Control Panel > Programs.  You may have to be logged into a Windows Admin user account to do this.
