Vault Password Error

After the most recent update to the Password Vault app on my iOS, I cannot log in. The vault password I know was in place gives an "Incorrect Password" error, the password hint now says "Secure vault was setup automatically - use mobile app to setup your password" despite the fact that I'm on the mobile app, and the Pin option doesn't let me enter my pin and instead says "Set a PIN for this device to open your vault faster. You can do it later from settings."

The app also says "for faster access, go to Face ID.." but it is already set to allow this app to use Face ID, and it has been allowed for quite a while. It's like the app thinks I'm starting from scratch. I have been using this app for a long time and am very frustrated at the potential of losing that much data because the app isn't recognizing me correctly. One of the last updates did something similar (gave a blank screen at login), but then corrected itself after a day or two. However, this time is a different issue and I have been experiencing this issue for several days.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have tried logging out, uninstalling/reinstalling the app... nothing works.

Re: Vault Password Error

Is there an update to your issue?  I am not able to access my password manager as well.  It doesn't even have a biometric scan available as an option anymore, plus I never set an initial vault password.  I set mine up with the biometrics.  Norton's response was for me to delete my account, but there is about a year's worth of information stored that I no longer have access to.

Re: Vault Password Error

Unfortunately, no. I had biometrics set up as well and it still treats it as a new setup or something - nothing works to let me back into my account. I’m starting to assume I’m going to lose the several years’ worth of data I had in there. :(

Re: Vault Password Error

Wow, that is incredibly unfortunate.  I understand, thought, because I am experiencing something similar.  I still am floored at the response from Norton for me to 'delete my account'.  I pay $300 (per year) for Norton and its utilities, so after a 5 minute support chat to receive that response I felt underserved.

Re: Vault Password Error

I have a repeating issue of not being able to log in to my password vault too. I called Norton tech support and gave remote access permission. Shortly after the preamble about not sharing sensitive information the tech asked me for my password vault password! So to fix me not being able to sign into my password vault the solution was to give away the key to the vault to a person who I don't know, can't see, and don't even know where they are. That isn't secure. It gave me serious doubts about the overall quality of all of the components in the security suite I purchased.
