Software Updater reporting wrong update

Norton 360 v22.23.3.8
Windows 10 Pro(64) Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.2846)

Has anyone else noticed that the Norton 360 utility, Software Updater, is reporting that the Windows version of the Brave Browser needs updated to version v1.50.125? The actual newest version of Brave is v1.50.121. The v1.50.125 is the latest version for Linux, not Windows.

Yep, I've seen the same thing but chose to ignore Norton's Software Updater.  You can set Norton to ignore Brave if you want.

Brave updates itself anyway.

I only posted this so if anyone else had ran into the problem and hadn't figured out what was going on.

I have found the Software Notifier to be fairly useful. I don't use Brave very often (and as far as I know it won't update itself unless you use it) so I tried to let the Software Notifier update it the first time I saw it said Brave needed updated. Naturally the update failed since Brave was already running its most recent version.

Brave for Windows will update in the background without user intervention automatically.  I often see an update has been posted about in another forum.  When I open Brave it is often already at the latest version.

In my opinion, the Software Updater in N360 is still a work in progress which an AV does not need anyway.

I seen there was an update to Brave and when I checked, Brave had already updated.

Scanning with Norton Software Updater now shows all programs are up to date.
