Ransomware threats

I have Windows 10.  I have been running Norton Security for many years.  What, if anything do I need to do to protect me from ransonware locking of my pc?

Thank you.

Re: Ransomware threats

Hello

I would say to practice safe surfing, stay away from sites that have been in the news saying that they have been hit by a ransomeware.. Do a complete system image and keep it somewhere not connected to your computer in case you do get one. That way ir will be easier to recover. Keep the backups up to date.

Thanks.

Re: Ransomware threats

Microsoft has fixed the vulnerability in an update released over a month ago. So the most important thing to do is keep your Windows and Norton up to date.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Agreed. Always keep your software, especially your AV, updated.
