LifeLock alerts

I have had a LifeLock Ultimate Plus account for several years now and have been pleased with the service.  I recently opened a Bank of America account and was somewhat surprised that LifeLock did not alert me that it had been opened.  To open the account I used the typical info (SSN, name, home address, email, etc.), all of which LifeLock has on file.  My parents have a different identity protection service and are notified the moment an account is opened in their name.  Does LifeLock send out such alerts?

I am not concerned in this particular case, as I personally opened the account.  I am more concerned that if an identity thief were to open an account in my name, I would like to know about it quickly so it can be closed before my credit and bank account history are harmed.  Thanks for your help.
