Opening Password Vault via Edge or Chrome

When opening Norton Password Vault in Chrome or Edge selecting "open vault" box brings you back to Edge or Chrome home screen. Turning Norton VPN off allows everything to work fine but you lose VPN utility until you turn it back on. This has been th case for the last three weeks. Has anyone exerienced this? is there a fix for it?
