Thank you for reaching out to us.
In order for the Norton Family Android App to work efficiently, it needs to be setup properly. Please follow the below help documents and make sure you set the app as given instructed.

Please note that for the Location Feature to work, the app needs GPS ON and location permission granted all the time.
also from the parent end it often doesn't show my children on the main screen it needs a log out and re log in to get that working.
This issue is fixed, please update your app to the latest version.
Regarding the time extension issue in windows device:
When a time extension request is approved it should get reflected immediately in your child's PC. In case there is a delay, please try updating the house rules from Norton Family Tray Icon. Right Click on "Norton Family" Tray Icon and choose "Update House Rules".
